Believe it or not, you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Your circle influences and shapes your habits, mindset, lifestyle trajectory, and ultimately, who you want to become.
The most successful people throughout history understood this principle intuitively. They deliberately curated their relationships, surrounding themselves with people who challenged them, supported them, and elevated their perspective.
In this week's newsletter, we're going to explore how you can build your own transformative circle. Let's begin!

5 Essential Roles in Your Circle: The Fantastic Five
You might be wondering how to identify those 5 people that may make up who you are today.
Here are those five kinds of people;
The Challenger. This person pushes you beyond your comfort zone and makes you question your assumptions and perspectives. They're not afraid to tell you hard truths and help you look at things from a different outlook. The Challenger prevents complacency and helps drive continuous growth.
The Supporter. This can be considered your emotional anchor during tough times such as a significant other, a parent, or a close friend that is there through thick and thin. The Supporter believes in you when you don't believe in yourself and provides unwavering encouragement. They celebrate your wins and help you bounce back from failures and setbacks.
The Connector. This individual or friend has an extensive network and regularly introduces you to new opportunities, people, & ideas. The Connector accelerates your growth by expanding your access to resources and relationships.
The Mentor. This can be someone who's achieved what you aspire to accomplish; someone you look up to. The Mentor gives wisdom, guidance, and shortcuts based on their experience. They help you avoid common pitfalls & accelerate your learning curve.
The Collaborator. A peer who's on a similar journey, with whom you can share experiences, brainstorm solutions, and work on projects together. The Collaborator provides mutual accountability & shared growth.

Let's Build Your Circle
Since you now know what kind of people should be in your circle, here are 5 actionable steps to help you build it.
Step 1 | EXAMINE Your Current Circle
Create a list of the 10 people you interact with most frequently. Categorize them based on how they impact your energy, growth, and goals. Are they lifting you up or holding you back?
Step 2 | IDENTIFY Your Gaps
Which of the five essential roles are missing from your circle? Where do you need more support, challenge, or connection?
Step 3 | STRATEGIC NETWORKING
Show up to community events like run clubs or community classes or join groups that you find interest in. In fact, participate in fitness communities where your ideal circle members might be in. Be open minded and don't jump to conclusions unless you've showed up to these communities for quite some time.
Step 4 | NURTURE Existing Relationships
Don't just focus on adding new people in your circle. Strengthen current relationships by being intentional about your interactions, following up with those individuals consistently, and showing genuine interest in others' success.
Step 5 | REGULAR Circle Review
Every six months, reassess your circle. Relationships naturally evolve, and your needs change as you grow. It's okay to let some connections fade while cultivating new ones.
The Takeaway
Understand this; building your circle is about creating an ecosystem of mutual growth and support. The best circles are built on being real, organic, and having shared values. Ultimately, some of these people may overlap amongst their roles so be mindful about this. As time goes, you'll see that your circle is what provides you to be the best version of yourself.
